Homeless

Sitting calmly in place

The sky is clear blue

Then it hits you,

Like a pie in your face

You get moved out of your place

You suddenly think how you’re goiing to pull through,

How can you live with either none or broken shoes

Suddenly it’s a race to find another place.

Children start to wonder what is happening,

You say don’t worry all we need is some cash

Then your phone starts to ring,

But then dies in a flash

Your whole family runing

To get you back on your feet and back to where you were.

Nicky Morgan-Letter

Dear Nicky Morgan,

I strongly believe that we should continue studying poetry in school because, it is good for students to learn why and how does music fit into poetry; how rap music is a form of poetry. Personally I was surprised to find out how just the lyrics to songs and the rhythm to the beat was exactly like poetry.

Your reflections are interesting to read, particularly on rhythm. maybe you could say more about this, as this is currently a 450 words short of the goal!

Can You See-

Can you see, the people around you

Trying to chase their dreams,                                                                                                                                                                                 It’s not your job to ruin it for                                                                                                                                                                                     Them and act like the clown;                                                                                                                                                                                 Can you see, all the people,                                                                                                                                                                               That come in to advice and                                                                                                                                                                                     Teach you, don’t make mistakes                                                                                                                                                                         That you will regret.

Julius Caesar Essay

‘Compare and contrast Brutus’ and Cassius’ reasons for joining the conspiracy.’

As you may know from reading Julius Caesar the book you may or not know that Brutus was persuaded into joining the conspiracy, which leads me to the point that I want to give out. Brutus had no real reason to join the conspiracy, he was only helping to fulfill Cassius’s will (to kill Caesar) without him even noticing. Cassius wanted Caesar dead because he kept putting him aside as if he was no one and ignored him. If you can remember before the killing each time Cassius praised Caesar, he ignored him making him want to kill him more. Brutus was Caesars ‘Best Friend’ he didn’t really want to kill Caesar but he was confused on what to do. Cassius hated Caesar however he couldn’t of got anything from killing him, except for war against them.

“We shall not pledge our allegiance.” This was said by the one and only Brutus, this shows to me that Brutus knew something was and had to go wrong. This also showed that he or the others didn’t trust each other and thought that they would betray each other, however Cassius was 100 percent sure that no one would turn against each other. No one did turn against each other but, Brutus was still soft sided and started to go back on the fact that he joined the conspiracy. If they won Cassius might of turned against Brutus and conquered Rome or the other way around. Also, the fact that Portia, who was Brutus’s wife committed suicide which then led to Brutus panicking and him saying that he wasn’t worthy of such a great woman and saying that he was gonna fail because he saw Caesar’s ghost.

“Not that I loved Caesar less but that loved Rome more.” Didn’t the conspiracy agree that Caesar was too ambitious well by saying that doesn’t that mean that the conspiracy want to do the same thing as what they Caesar had been doing ? This also, means that he’s implying that Caesar was an unworthy ruler unfit to rule and that he should be the ruler of Rome. Why would Caesar’s best friend kill him to get the same result than before, Caesar was winning all the wars for Rome he had no ambitious attempt to do anything. If you remember Caesar was offered he crown from Mark Anthony three times but, three times objected to have it. So what was Brutus’s real reason for killing Caesar or did he have no reason at all, like I said Brutus may have just been an accomplice to complete Cassius’s wish.

“Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead.” This was again said by Brutus at Caesar’s ceremony / funeral. Is what Brutus said really true as I said before Caesar actually turned down the crown three times does this really mean that he had bigger plans for Rome and the people of Rome. No all Caesar wanted to do is for Rome not to get lost in over powering rulers who would turn the people of Rome into slaves like Brutus said however that wasn’t going to be Caesar in my opinion if the conspiracy won the war they would have been the overpowering rulers or ruler. The conspiracy are the people who wanted to conquer Rome even though it wasn’t going to happen or should I say that Cassius wanted to be the ruler for revenge from Caesar.

Which then concludes to my final statement ” For Brutus, as you know, was Caesar’s angel.” This was said by Mark Anthony at the Ceremony / Funeral. This was told to worry the people of Rome because, if Brutus could turn against Caesar to extent o where he killed Caesar what would he do to Rome or the people or both if he could turn his back n others so quickly, especially if you’re a best friend or as Mark Anthony said ‘Caesar’s Angel’. Also, hearing about Caesar’s will convinced the people of Rome even more to fight the conspiracy and get revenge from Caesar’s death.

I’ve certified and concluded that Brutus had no aim had no means to kill Caesar and didn’t want to conquer Rome, this was all an illusion that Cassius tricked him into, if only Brutus could have truly opened his mind then he would’ve realized that Caesar was no bad man he just did what was best for his country.
